Videodrome: VAMPIRE COP with Michael Myerz

Videodrome is hosting a combination VHS marketplace/film screening with friend Michael Myerz at the Plaza! 12+ VHS vendors will be set up in the lobby of the Plaza Theater from 6pm-8pm. Then join us at 8 pm for a performance by Michael Myerz, vampire costume contest, and film intro by Ian Deaton. We’ll be showing the 1990 horror/comedy Vampire Cop- a sleazy, shot-on-video (SOV) joyride with flying bullets, mean uppercuts, fantastic gore effects, endless love-making scenes, and one burning face. Plus a vampire cop! Fueled by joy and sincerity, Vampire Cop is an iconic piece of sleazy trash filmed right here in Atlanta in the late 80s: "Police officer Lucas only works at night. He also knows how to take a bite out of crime – literally. But when the vampire cop bites the city's reigning drug boss, he inadvertently creates a nemesis as powerful as himself." Schedule: 6pm - VHS Market in the lobby of the Plaza Theatre 8pm – Performance by Michael Myerz, vampire costume contest and film introduction by Ian Deaton 8:30pm - Vampire Cop (1990) on the big screen.
