Reel Friends & My Parents' Basement: Blade in 35mm
The classic film along with a preshow vampire themed costume contest and live music, presented by Reel Friends and My Parents Basement! Preshow fun at 6:30pm, and 7:00pm film start. The Daywalker known as "Blade" - a half-vampire, half-mortal man - becomes the protector of humanity against an underground army of vampires. Reel Friends is an Atlanta-based production company founded by Rocco Shapiro, dedicated to crafting dynamic narrative projects with diverse artists in a respectful and collaborative environment that values authenticity above all. They have produced short films that premiered at Academy Qualifying festivals and they are now in development on multiple feature films. In addition to producing, Reel Friends exhibits their own and others' works at the Plaza and Tara Theatres through themed programming events, fostering a vibrant community of filmmakers and film lovers. My Parents’ Basement is a fun and lively bar, restaurant, arcade and comic book store located just east of Atlanta in Avondale Estates. It opened in 2015 and has been serving some of Atlanta’s best vegan and omnivore bar food since then. Also, MPB boasts 17+ modern pinball machines and a bevy of other arcade games.
