BAFF: Analog Nightmares (Shorts)

<div><div>The tapes remember. VHS static, cursed birthday parties, and creatures that only move when you look away, this block is a love letter to everything you watched too young. Ten short nightmares about brainrot, rewinding, and the things living in your shadow, proving the scariest thing ever committed to video is still the tracking error right before it goes wrong. Play it loud. Don't rewind.&nbsp;</div><div><br></div><div><b>Brainrot</b> [7:09] - A disgruntled zillenial, in a "retro" phase a la recording everything via a VHS camera, documents a ouija board night. His chronically online friends would rather look at Tik Toks than speak to the dead. Under mysterious circumstances, the friends transform into Tik Tok trend zombies which the POV analog protagonist must fight to survive.&nbsp;</div><div><br></div><div><b>Rise of the Rinser</b> [11:59] - A seemingly normal evening of dishwashing suddenly turns bloody.&nbsp;</div><div><br></div><div><b>Do Not Rewind</b> [12:53] - Trapped in a windowless room with only a VHS tape for company, Eden must decode the cryptic warnings of her predecessor, Jess, to escape a stalker's twisted psychological prison before she becomes his next victim.&nbsp;</div><div><br></div><div><b>Goon</b> [13:42] - They say porn will rot your brain...literally.&nbsp;</div><div><br></div><div><b>Trevor Lies</b> [9:50] - The bizarre tale of a young boy and his puritanical family who must grapple with the morality and consequences of deceit.&nbsp;</div><div><br></div><div><b>These Colors Don't Run</b> [9:45] - A camp counselor struggles to escape from a masked killer whose emotions are on display for all to see.&nbsp;</div><div><b><br></b></div><div><b>Into The Static </b>[6:26] - Harry Loving is obsessed with his life-simulation video game, especially his digital companion, Delilah. Isolated in his apartment, the game becomes his reality, and begins consuming his every waking breath. Now, Harry must choose between the real world or disappearing forever into a pixelated fantasy with Delilah.&nbsp;</div><div><br></div><div><b>ME AND MY SHADOW</b> [14:52] - Me and My Shadow grew out of a shared fascination with shadow figures, unexplained presences, and the strange atmosphere of one of the co-director's childhood homes. The film was shot in that very house, turning the filmmaking process into something of an intuitive, obscure magick ritual. Beginning with only a loosely sketched scenario, ideas, images, and moments emerged organically during production, pieces falling into place with an uncanny sense that they had been guided from Elsewhere.&nbsp;</div><div><br></div><div><b>Birthday</b> [5:56] - A man dozes in the glow of his television. A strange sound wakes him. He gives the set a firm whack with his cane, an old solution to an old problem. But not every problem stays old.&nbsp;</div><div><br></div><div><b>Teeth</b> [18:41] - An agoraphobic painter becomes infatuated with a strange woman from his dreams. In following this pursuit, he unknowingly falls headfirst into the gaping maw of madness.&nbsp;</div><div><br></div><div>Q&amp;A 15 mins</div></div><div><br></div>Horror, Shorts ProgramPT2HNot Rated2026-11-08
